Lancaster Township Police announce a free community event for K–8 students on Aug. 9 offering haircuts, food, games and state resource information; registration required.
The Lancaster Township Police Department is hosting the 15th Annual Back to School Event on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Penn Medicine Park. Open to K–8 students who live in the School District of Lancaster, Manheim Township, Hempfield and Penn Manor districts, the event features free haircuts, food, music, games and information on state programs; registration is required (registration runs 12:00–2:30 PM, activities until 4:00 PM). The event is hosted by Rep. Nikki Rivera and Rep. Ismail Smith-Wade-El; families must register by 4:30 PM on August 3, 2026.
