29-year-old arrested after alleged knife attack in North Charleston apartment
A dispute over a discarded rug in the Chicora-Cherokee neighborhood allegedly escalated into a knife attack; the victim suffered hand and chest lacerations and the suspect fled before being arrested.
North Charleston police say they responded around 8:30 p.m. on July 11 to an Osceola Drive apartment after a report of a stabbing and found a man with lacerations to his right hand and a small chest wound and broken glass from a shattered window. The victim told officers that 29-year-old Candise Lorine Graham became angry over a rug she had discarded, grabbed a knife, tried to slash him and then threw the knife through a window before fleeing. Graham was charged with Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime and was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
