Pennsylvania State Police at Dublin say they are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred last month in Milford Township, Bucks County, as a suspected DUI.

In a news release, police said the accident happened shortly before 10:45 p.m. June 20 on N. Old Bethlehem Pike near Rosedale Road.

Police said the 32-year-old driver of a 2022 black Chevy Equinox was southbound on N. Old Bethlehem Pike when he left the lane of travel and struck a utility pole on the right side of the road. The vehicle then struck a small ditch and overturned onto its roof in the grass next to the road, which was closed for a period of time due to the severity of the crash.

According to the release, when responders arrived the driver was unconscious and “had to be freed from the vehicle via mechanical means.”

Police said he was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital-Bethlehem Campus in Fountain Hill for treatment of “serious injuries.”

The release indicated that it was a clear night and that the road was dry at the time of the accident.

The vehicle suffered disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Police said charges of DUI will be filed through Bucks County District Court 07-2-05 in Quakertown pending the results of toxicologic testing.
