4th measles-related death in Pennsylvania: 18-year-old dies of rare complication
Pennsylvania has recorded four measles-related deaths this year, all among unvaccinated people; the most recent was an 18-year-old who died of a rare complication.
Four people, two adults and two children, have died of measles-related conditions this year in Pennsylvania, the state Department of Health has reported.
The most recent death was reported Tuesday by the Mifflin County Coroner, who said an 18-year-old county resident died of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, a rare and severe complication of measles.
