James C. Mays, 65, was arrested by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 22, 2026, in Cotopaxi and booked on charges of false imprisonment, menacing, criminal mischief and domestic violence. The arrest, which occurred in the Thunderbird Drive area, resulted in Mays being released on a PR bond by the court.
