70-Year-Old Cited After Repeated Self-Checkout Thefts at ShopRite

On June 30, 2026, Lower Makefield Township police responded to ShopRite on the 1600 block of Big Oak Road in Yardley after Loss Prevention reported a customer failed to scan $156.23 worth of items on nine separate occasions between May 4 and June 26. Officers located a 70-year-old Lower Makefield Township woman at her address; she told police the incidents were unintentional and was cited for Retail Theft.
