70-Year-Old Cited After Repeated Self-Checkout Thefts at Yardley ShopRite

Lower Makefield Township police went to ShopRite on the 1600 block of Big Oak Road in Yardley after loss prevention reported nine separate occasions between May 4 and June 26 in which a woman failed to scan $156.23 worth of items at self-checkout. Officers located and questioned the 70-year-old LMT resident; she told police the thefts were unintentional and was cited for retail theft.
