79-year-old charged with DUI after Bingen Road crash
Police say a 79-year-old driver was injured in a crash and later charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation.
On August 30, 2026, at about 10:48 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle crash at Bingen Road and Coal Yard Road. The driver, identified as George Hagerty McBride, 79, was transported to St. Luke's Hospital and was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol (highest rate) and driving on roadways laned for traffic; charges were filed at District Court 03-2-04. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
