Aaron Nickolas Nicometo charged with DUI after SR-222 crash in East Cocalico Township

On June 28, 2026 at about 6:41 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on SR-222 (mile marker 43.6) and found a disabled vehicle that had struck center median guide wires. Witnesses said the driver fled on foot; officers later detained 26-year-old Aaron Nickolas Nicometo on Ridge Avenue, determined he was impaired with a breath-test result of .159%, and issued a summons for driving under the influence, accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle, and failure to notify police of an accident.
