Aaron Nickolas Nicometo charged with DUI after SR 222 crash in East Cocalico Township
A June 28 single-vehicle crash on SR 222 left a car disabled in the median; the driver fled, was detained on Ridge Avenue and registered a .159% BAC on a breath test.
On June 28, 2026 at about 6:41 p.m., officers responded to SR 222 near mile marker 43.6 for a single-vehicle crash in which a car struck the guide wires in the center median and was left disabled with front and side damage. Witnesses said the driver exited and fled on foot; officers later detained Aaron Nickolas Nicometo, 26, walking in the 700 block of Ridge Avenue, determined he was the driver and impaired, and a breath test showed a blood alcohol concentration of .159%. Nicometo was issued a summons to appear in District Court and faces charges including driving under the influence, accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle, and failure to notify police of an accident with damage to vehicle or property (East Cocalico Township Police Department, case 2026-03743).
