Abbott celebrates first federal reimbursement for Operation Lone Star
Texas received the first federal reimbursement for taxpayer-funded border security efforts under Operation Lone Star, Gov. Greg Abbott said Friday.
Gov. Greg Abbott on Friday celebrated Texas receiving the first federal reimbursement from the U.S. government for funds Texas taxpayers spent on border security through Operation Lone Star. Abbott called the payment a historic reimbursement for the state's border security efforts.
