Advocates worry Supreme Court may remove overseas mail-in ballot grace periods
Voting rights and military advocates warn the U.S. Supreme Court could end grace periods that accept late-arriving mail-in ballots from overseas voters.
Officials from voting rights advocacy organizations said Thursday the U.S. Supreme Court could eliminate grace periods for mail-in ballots cast by overseas voters. Advocates say such a decision could harm military and other overseas voters who rely on extra transit time for ballots to be counted.
