Alexander Blair charged with robbery and theft in Mechanicsburg vehicle incident
Police say a 26-year-old man identified as the driver took $800 and a cellphone from a passenger during an August 11 vehicle stop on East Keller Street in Mechanicsburg.
On August 11, 2026, at about 4:44 p.m., Mechanicsburg police responded to the 1st block of East Keller Street for an active robbery. Officers say the victim, a passenger in a vehicle, was grabbed from behind and searched by the driver identified as Alexander Blair, who allegedly took $800 and the victim’s cellphone before fleeing east on East Keller Street with a passenger. Blair, 26, faces charges of robbery and theft by unlawful taking (MJ-09305-CR-0000169-2026; MBG-2026-08-0450), with the investigation handled by Officer Mark Martin of the Mechanicsburg Police Department.
