Alexander Bulgala, 18, charged with DUI after moped hits mailbox in Lititz

On July 11, 2026 at about 12:15 a.m., Lititz Borough officers responded to Peach Drive for reports of youths ringing a doorbell and possibly damaging a mailbox. Officers say Alexander Bulgala, 18, told them he was on a moped that accidentally accelerated into the mailbox; police observed bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and a drowsy demeanor and Bulgala admitted to having two shots. A breath test at the station registered 0.093% BAC; Bulgala has been charged with multiple counts including DUI (general impairment and BAC .08-.10), underage drinking and related offenses, and has been summoned for preliminary arraignment and hearing; he is presumed innocent.
