Amelia Juanita Laslo of Allentown (Obituary)

Amelia Juanita Laslo (Laurido), of Allentown, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Born in Bethlehem, Pa., Amelia lived a life filled with love, laughter, friendship and devotion to her family. She was the daughter of the late Candida Martin Laurido, of Salamanca, Castilla-León, Spain, and Manuel B. Laurido, of Sada, La Coruña, Galicia, Spain. She was truly the life of the party, bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went. Her home was always open and her friendships spanned decades. Above all else, Amelia’s greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her strength, resilience, infectious laugh and the unconditional love she gave so freely to everyone around her.

SURVIVORS

Amelia is survived by her daughter, Juanita Peters and son-in-law, Mark; her son, Morris Jr.; her adored granddaughters, Sydney, Rachel and Tiana; and her beloved canine, Gus. Her granddaughters were the light of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. She also leaves behind a large extended family and countless friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, humor and vibrant spirit. Amelia was preceded in death by her husband, Morris John Laslo Sr.; her sisters, Elvira Veronica Carra and Pauline T. Holschwandner; and her brother, John Michael Dominguez. She leaves behind too many dear friends to name, each holding special memories of the wonderful times they shared with her. Amelia loved to travel and was fortunate to see much of the world, made possible in large part by her beloved brothers-in-law, John and Angelo. She embraced every adventure with enthusiasm, curiosity and gratitude, creating memories that she treasured throughout her life.
