On Sept. 16, 2026, Pennsylvania State Police vice narcotics executed a search warrant on a residence on Indiana Avenue in Avonmore and detained four people, including 34-year-old Antoine Barrow of Pittsburgh. Troopers say they recovered approximately 118 bricks (about 5,900 stamp bags) of suspected fentanyl from a satchel thrown from a second-story window, a bookbag containing over $10,000, and that Barrow attempted to flush 15 bricks down a toilet; he allegedly admitted to being the source of the fentanyl and has been denied bail. Barrow faces multiple narcotics-related charges including manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to manufacture, and additional counts; all charges are accusations and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
