Artemis II crew to swing around moon, return without landing
The crew will perform a lunar flyby, execute a turnaround and return to Earth without landing on the surface.
Artemis II’s four-person crew — three Americans and one Canadian — will fly to the moon, swing around it, and perform a U-turn before returning to Earth. The mission is a lunar flyby only; the astronauts will not stop or land on the moon.
