Artemis II sets distance record, crew observes Moon’s far side
Just before 2 p.m. Eastern Monday, the Artemis II crew traveled farther from Earth than any human mission before and observed the Moon’s far side.
Just before 2 p.m. Eastern Monday, the Artemis II astronauts aboard NASA’s Orion spacecraft flew farther from Earth than any humans have in history. The crew also conducted observations of the Moon’s far side during the milestone flight.
