On March 29, 2026, at about 11:45 a.m., Austell Police responded to 2535 Washington Street Ext SW after a 66-year-old woman reported receiving threatening text messages from her 66-year-old neighbor. Officers reviewed the messages and found they did not constitute a direct or immediate threat; no physical altercation or injuries were reported. Both parties were told to cease contact and to contact law enforcement if the situation escalated; no arrests were made and no further action was taken (Incident #26-030183, classified All Other - Non-Criminal).
