Auto research group: Tariffs are burdening smallest auto suppliers
An independent Center for Automotive Research roundtable says tariffs aimed at rebuilding America’s auto supplier base are placing costs on the industry’s most vulnerable tier.
The Center for Automotive Research roundtable warned that tariffs intended to rebuild America’s auto supplier base may be weakening the most fragile tier of suppliers. According to the group, small suppliers are absorbing the added costs from those tariffs.
