Axle Tankersley arrested after fleeing vehicle stop in Bradford

On Aug. 20, 2026 at approximately 5:01 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on South Davis Street in Bradford and took 37-year-old Axle Tankersley into custody on an active warrant. Tankersley reportedly fled on foot, was apprehended after a brief chase and placed in hand restraints; he faces charges including Escape (18 5121 A, F3), Evading Detention or Arrest on Foot (18 5104.2(A), M2) and Resisting Arrest (18 5104, M2), as well as multiple active warrants (including DIS716401898 and bench warrant CPCMS703724051); Judge Luther set bail at $20,000 and he was remanded to McKean County Jail. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
