Batavia Police reported multiple arrests between June 25 and July 15, 2026, for charges including DWI, assault, drug possession, burglary, theft, criminal mischief and harassment; most defendants were arraigned or issued appearance tickets and released. Incidents include: Torre D Hamilton (51) of Columbus, OH arrested 7/10 for DWI; Mark E Flaming IV (36) of Batavia arrested 7/7 on a warrant for Menacing 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment 2nd after allegedly punching a person with brass knuckles while a child was present; Dennis R Ramsey (47) of Batavia arrested 7/8 for Burglary 3rd and Petit Larceny after allegedly entering a business he had been trespassed from; David B Hess (39) of Alexander arrested 7/13 for DWI; Charlene M Poole (55) and Junior D Benedict (47) of Batavia arrested 7/15 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (alleged possession of crack cocaine); Timothy O Lee (45) of Batavia arrested 6/25 for Criminal Mischief 4th; Richard F Hull (48) of Batavia arrested 7/12 for Criminal Mischief 4th; Robert J Dercqu (25) of Batavia arrested 7/2 for Petit Larceny, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd; Steven J Willis (60) of Geneseo arrested 7/11 for Aggravated Harassment 2nd for alleged threats to a gas station; Lazarus U Sims (54) of Syracuse arrested 7/3 for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th after a traffic stop found an allegedly stolen license plate; and Christopher L Wissinger (53) and Diana L Sponaugle (52) of Leroy arrested 7/8 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (alleged possession of crack cocaine).
