Between July 14 and July 22, 2026, Batavia Police arrested several people on charges including criminal possession of a weapon, controlled substance possession, DWI, petit larceny and harassment. Arrests detailed include Zachary W. Williams (7/15) for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Menacing 2nd; Benjamin G. Evans (7/17) for petit larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th after an alleged e-bike theft; and Steven J. Godinho (7/22) for Criminal Contempt 2nd and Aggravated Family Offense for allegedly violating an order of protection. Some suspects were remanded to the Genesee County Jail for arraignment while others received appearance tickets and were released.
