Bellefonte Man Pleads Guilty to Exploiting Elderly Relative

Neil W. Taylor, 72, of Bellefonte, pleaded guilty in Clinton County Court to identity theft (F2), theft by unlawful taking (F3) and financial exploitation of an older adult or care-dependent person (F3). Authorities say he repeatedly accessed the elderly victim’s financial accounts and deprived the victim of more than $50,000 during 2022 and 2023; sentencing is scheduled for October. The case was investigated and charged by Woodward Township Police Chief Steven Falotico, and Judge Craig P. Miller accepted the pleas.
