Bellefonte man pleads guilty to exploiting elderly relative
Neil W. Taylor, 72, admitted to repeatedly accessing an elderly family member’s accounts and depriving the victim of more than $50,000 during 2022–2023; sentencing is set for October.
LOCK HAVEN — Neil W. Taylor, 72, of Bellefonte, Centre County, pleaded guilty to one count of Identity Theft (F2), one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking (F3), and one count of Financial Exploitation of an Older Adult or Care-Dependent Person (F3) after repeatedly accessing an elderly family member’s financial accounts. The charges stem from depriving the victim of more than $50,000 throughout 2022 and 2023; Clinton County Court Common Pleas President Judge Craig P. Miller accepted the pleas. The case was investigated and charged by Woodward Township Police Chief Steven Falotico, and sentencing is scheduled for October.
