Bensalem Township Fall Festival Celebrates Community, Officers and K9s

Bensalem Township Police and Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo thanked everyone who attended the Annual Fall Festival, which featured food, music and family activities alongside demonstrations by the Police K9 Unit and Motor Patrol. Officers Tim Henehan and Brian McMahon were honored during their final Motor Patrol show before retirement—Henehan had performed in the festival every year since 2005—while Officer Bryan Hearn took part in his first Motor Patrol show. Sergeant Kevin Howard and K9 partner Jango were recognized in their final K9 demonstration after participating in 12 of the last 13 shows, and the K9 Unit introduced new teams: Officer Ricky Alvarez with Champ and Officer Ryan Bones with Bolo; organizers thanked police, fire, EMS, Parks and Rec, Public Works and civilian personnel for their coordination.
