Bodies of 5 climbers recovered on remote Himalayan peak after snowmelt
Climbers who vanished in a 2025 avalanche on Yalung Ri were found after seasonal snowmelt exposed their remains.
The bodies of five climbers who disappeared in an avalanche on a remote Himalayan peak last year have been recovered nearly nine months after they were swept away by snow and ice during an expedition near Nepal’s border with Tibet. Officials said the remains were discovered after seasonal melting exposed areas that had been buried for months, Yahoo! reported.
