Bradford woman sentenced to 13–26 months for cocaine and financial crimes
DA says prosecutors will pursue financial crimes tied to drug sales to remove the profit motive and increase penalties.
Justina AMES of Bradford was sentenced July 16 to 13–26 months in state prison plus one year of consecutive supervision after convictions for Dealing in Unlawful Proceeds (Felony 1), Possession with Intent to Deliver cocaine, and Conspiracy to Deliver cocaine. A McKean County Drug Task Force investigation by Detective Seth Shephard found AMES conspired on three cocaine sales between Dec. 30, 2025 and Jan. 20, 2026, possessed additional cocaine intended for sale, and conducted a financial transaction to promote unlawful activity; she was ordered to pay restitution, lab fees, and other conditions. District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer said the office will pursue financial crimes tied to drug trafficking to remove the profit motive and increase penalties, and urged the public to report illegal drug activity to the McKean County Drug Task Force (Chief County Detective Ryan Yingling, 814-887-3312 or McKeanDA.org).
