Brentwood announces Battle of the Barrel, July 4 race, parade and fireworks
Brentwood has scheduled the Battle of the Barrel on July 3 and the Firecracker 5K, parade and fireworks on July 4, with temporary road closures and towing enforcement. Fireworks at Brentwood Park begin around 9:30 p.m.
The Battle of the Barrel takes place Friday, July 3 with temporary road closures and vehicles parked in posted no-parking areas subject to towing beginning at 4:00 p.m. On Saturday, July 4 the Firecracker 5K and parade require vehicles along the parade route to be moved by 6:00 a.m.; parade staging area closures begin at 7:00 a.m. and the Brownsville Road route (Sankey Avenue to Route 51) closes at 8:00 a.m. Brentwood Park will host fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m.; stadium seating, concessions and restrooms will be available, and spectators will not be permitted on Field 4 or the stadium field during the display.
