Bristol Township man sentenced to 10–20 years for possession of child pornography
A 72-year-old registered sex offender was sentenced and designated a Tier III registrant after investigators found hundreds of images of prepubescent boys on devices seized from his Croydon home.
Gary Durfee, 72, pleaded guilty in May to three counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and was sentenced by Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr to 10 to 20 years in state prison and lifetime Tier III sex-offender registration. A multi-agency investigation beginning in May 2024 — involving the FBI, ICAC partners, Lower Makefield Township Police and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office — traced WhatsApp and Facebook accounts to Durfee and led to a March 2025 search of his Croydon home that recovered multiple electronic devices containing hundreds of images of prepubescent boys. The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney David O'Beirne.
