Gary Durfee, 72, of the Croydon section of Bristol Township pleaded guilty in May to three counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and was sentenced by Bucks County Common Pleas Court Judge Stephen A. Corr to 10 to 20 years in state prison. A multi-agency investigation beginning in May 2024 — involving the FBI, ICAC partners, Lower Makefield Township Police and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office — linked Durfee via WhatsApp and Facebook aliases to illicit images; a March 14, 2025 search of his home seized electronic devices containing hundreds of images and Durfee admitted ownership. He was classified as a Tier III offender, requiring lifetime registration as a sex offender.
