Bryan Emeric Adolph charged in fatal stabbing of sister
Police say a 26-year-old man stabbed his sister to death and injured their brother inside a Persimmon Drive home; bail was denied and he remains jailed.
Bryan Emeric Adolph, 26, was charged with criminal homicide, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime after his 28-year-old sister, Elyse Adolph, was found dead and their 24-year-old brother was hospitalized with stab wounds at a Persimmon Drive residence in East Hempfield Township. Adolph told police he became angry over residents’ barking dogs, struck a dog, then retrieved kitchen knives and said he believes he stabbed his sister about 20 times; his brother said he was also stabbed while intervening. Officers arrested Adolph near Good Drive and Route 30 with visible blood; Judge Brian Chudzik denied bail, he is incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison, and a preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 4; charges were filed by Det. Allison Roush and will be prosecuted by ADA Elizabeth Lapp.
