The City of Bethlehem, Wawa and the SouthSide Arts District are now accepting project proposals from qualified professional artists for the development of a Gateway Sign in South Bethlehem.

Wawa, an east coast convenience store and gas station company, has constructed a new project site at 770 Hellertown Road in Bethlehem.

As a part of the overall project Wawa is funding and partnering with the City of Bethlehem for the design and installation of a new Gateway Sign at the southern end of the development property.

This project seeks to enhance the gateway between the Route 412 corridor and the SouthSide downtown by designing this gateway sign into a public work of art. This project is made possible through funding support from Wawa. The new Wawa development site is a community partner in this overall project.

This Call for Artist Entries is open to local and regional artists who have experience

installing outdoor projects using a variety of media. There is no charge for artists to apply.
