The Cambria County Drug Task Force concluded a five-month investigation involving multiple controlled purchases of heroin, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine and other controlled substances, identifying Philadelphia and Pittsburgh as primary source cities. On July 29, 2026, officers executed warrants at 21 targets in Johnstown, arresting 14 listed suspects plus Christopher Latz (51) on a Cambria County Sheriff's warrant; two search warrants at 1201 Solomon St (Building 15, Apt 284) and 1138 Barnett Street yielded seven suspected pressed methamphetamine pills and $702 at the first address, and $1,424, 1.3 grams of methamphetamine and 1.3 grams of crack cocaine at the second. The arrested were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Kevin Price, transported to Cambria County Prison for prosecution by the District Attorney’s Office, and active felony warrants remain for seven additional individuals.
