Cambria County drug task force raids Johnstown; 14 targets arrested

A five-month Cambria County Drug Task Force investigation culminating July 29, 2026 used undercover buys and confidential informants to trace heroin, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine and other controlled substances to sources in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Task force members executed warrants at 21 Johnstown targets, arresting 14 of those targets; Christopher Latz was also arrested on a Cambria County Sheriff’s warrant. Two search warrants recovered seven suspected pressed methamphetamine pills and $702 at 1201 Solomon St., and $1,424, 1.3 grams of methamphetamine and 1.3 grams of crack cocaine at 1138 Barnett St.; the Cambria County DA’s Office will prosecute and officers hold active felony warrants for eight additional individuals.
