Weekly summary of accidents, arrests and attempted phone scams reported by the Castle Shannon Police Department for Sept. 25–Oct. 1, 2026.
During the week of Sept. 25–Oct. 1, Castle Shannon police reported several minor vehicle accidents with no injuries: incidents on Mt Lebanon Blvd; Library Rd (two-vehicle crash, one tow); Rockwood Ave (vehicle struck a street sign); and Myrtle Ave (vehicle struck two parked cars). Arrests included Aziza Kamalova (F/30) on an outstanding warrant, Weston Lynch (M/38) cited for criminal mischief, and Rabije Hyseni (F/33) arrested for simple assault. Police also logged attempted phone scams at Maplewood Dr, Blossom Hill Rd (reported at a Walmart), and Addie Ct (references to PNC Bank and Social Security); residents are urged to call 9-1-1 for emergencies and to subscribe to Castle Shannon alerts (text ShannonAlerts to 67283).
