CBP pauses Big Bend construction after pressure from Texas GOP
CBP chief says construction in Big Bend National Park is paused as he travels to Texas to meet officials and stakeholders after pressure from Republican lawmakers and sheriffs.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Chief Rodney Scott said he paused all construction activity in Big Bend National Park and arrived in Texas on Monday to meet with state officials and local stakeholders in person. He said the decision came after pressure from Republican Texas lawmakers and county sheriffs.
