Chambersburg Wendy's armed robbery; man with knife sought
A man armed with a knife demanded cash from a Wendy's cashier on July 13; police released a photo of a person of interest and are investigating.
On July 13, 2026, at approximately 10:38 AM the Chambersburg Police Department responded to an armed robbery at Wendy's, 1091 Wayne Ave. A male wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey allegedly brandished a knife and demanded money before leaving north toward Brandon Drive; he was last seen in black shorts, a light-colored T-shirt, a dark ball cap with a light logo and carrying a dark backpack. Police say the person in the released photo is a person of interest and not necessarily a suspect; anyone with information should call the Chambersburg Police Department at 717-264-4131 or submit a tip on Crimewatch (case 2026-07202).
