Congresswoman Gluesenkamp Perez silent on Washington's new income tax
In a tightly contested 3rd Congressional District race in southwest Washington, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has not publicly addressed the state's newly enacted income tax as campaign donations — many from out of state — flow into both campaigns.
The Center Square reports that in Washington’s competitive 3rd District, Republicans are aiming to flip the seat while large campaign contributions — a significant share from out of state — are fueling both campaigns. Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has so far declined to comment publicly on the state’s recently passed income tax.
