Cooling Station Open — Highspire Borough Building

Highspire Borough has opened the Borough Building at 640 Eshelman Street as a cooling station while a power outage continues. The facility is available for residents to cool off, charge essential electronic devices and access drinking water from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. PPL estimates restoration times ranging from a few hours to as late as Tuesday evening; residents are asked to check on elderly or medically vulnerable neighbors and to call 911 for heat-related medical emergencies. The Borough will provide further updates as they become available.
