On Sept. 5, 2026 at approximately 8:16 AM, Culpeper County 911 callers reported an adult male with stab wounds at a residence in the 2000-block of Forsythia Drive; officers and EMS responded and performed life-saving measures before transporting the victim to a regional hospital, where he is now in stable condition. Detectives identified 32-year-old Robert Issac Cantos of Culpeper as the suspect; he was located on N Kelly St., taken into custody without incident, and charged with Malicious Wounding, Breaking and Entering with Intent to Commit a Felony, Destruction of Property, and Trespassing. The involved vehicle was seized, the weapon was recovered at Lenn Park, the incident appears to be an isolated domestic-related matter, and the investigation remains active — tips can be emailed to Det. K. Payne at [email protected] or to [email protected].
