Daniel Crum arrested after traffic stop uncovers THC vape, open container
During a July 1 traffic stop at 587 Valley Road, officers found an open alcohol container, a THC vape and other drug-use items; the driver had an expired license and outstanding burglary-related warrants.
On July 1, 2026 at approximately 1524 hours, Chief Savidge stopped a silver Ford sedan at 587 Valley Road for expired registration and observed an open alcoholic beverage and a THC vape in plain view. After consenting to a vehicle search, officers found additional drug-use items; driver Daniel Crum, 55, was also found to have an expired license and multiple outstanding warrants for burglary and related offenses. Crum was taken into custody on the warrants and transported to the Columbia County Prison and faces charges including possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license.
