David Allen Snyder arrested after admitting to murder of Kimberly Gsell
Detectives recovered human remains from a 2019 missing-person case and arrested a suspect who admitted to the killing.
Kimberly F. Gsell was reported missing from the Roadway Inn at 1239 Harrisburg Pike in Carlisle on September 29, 2019. Detectives located human remains in New Cumberland on September 25, 2026 that were identified as Gsell; on September 26, 2026 they interviewed 39-year-old David Allen Snyder, who admitted to strangling and killing her. Snyder was arrested, transported to Cumberland County Prison, arraigned on 18 2502 (A) Murder of the First Degree and 18 2718 (A1) Strangulation (F2) charges, and bail was denied.
