DeLand Police are actively enforcing school speed zones as students return, with doubled fines in active zones and reminders for safe driving.
DeLand Police Department has resumed patrolling school speed zones, focusing on speeders, seatbelt use and other traffic violations as kids head back to class. Fines are doubled in active school zones. Drivers are reminded to slow when lights flash, buckle up, put phones away, watch for crossing guards and children, and stop for school buses.
