Delaware River water safety reminder

Solebury Township Police warn that the Delaware River can be dangerous and urge everyone to wear a properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard‑approved life jacket; children under 12 must wear one while underway. They also advise never going alone, avoiding alcohol, checking river and weather conditions, wearing appropriate footwear, supervising children, entering feet‑first, and calling 911 in an emergency — officers will be monitoring river areas over the holiday.
