Brian Richard Fitzgerald, 51, a Deputy Attorney General for New Jersey, was arrested and arraigned in Bucks County on felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, dissemination of such materials, and criminal use of a communication facility. Investigators say he used artificial intelligence to generate illicit images and shared them on Discord, and also obtained and distributed images depicting real children; a search of his home uncovered AI prompts, scripts and chat logs. Bail was set at $2 million (10 percent) and he was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility; a preliminary hearing is scheduled later this month.
