Donald David Cornelious arrested after fleeing pursuit in stolen van
A stolen Maryland van fled from officers on July 4; after a multi-agency search the driver was captured and charged with multiple felonies.
On July 4, 2026, officers located a van reported stolen out of Howard County, MD, with registration plates stolen from Baltimore. The van fled, leading to a pursuit that ended at the Tractor Supply/Phantom Fireworks parking lot; the passenger was tased and detained, and after a multi-agency search involving K-9 teams, drone and Pennsylvania State Police helicopter the driver, Donald David Cornelious, was captured later that day. Cornelious—who admitted using crack during the pursuit and had an Anne Arundel County escape warrant after cutting off an ankle bracelet—was charged with felony fleeing, agricultural crop destruction, receiving stolen property, fugitive from justice and other offenses; bail was set at $20,000 and he was committed to York County Prison.
