Drugs and Polymer80 Handgun Seized in Lancaster Search; Suspect Charged
Lancaster SEU executed a warrant at an S. Ann Street apartment on July 15, 2026, seizing a Polymer80 9mm handgun, hundreds of drug packets and evidence of drug sales; suspect held on $500,000 bail.
On July 15, 2026, Lancaster City Police Selective Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at an apartment on the first block of S. Ann Street after a weeks-long investigation into suspected drug sales by Charles Shipp. Officers detained Shipp as he left and seized a Polymer80 9mm handgun, 117 packets of heroin/fentanyl, about 24 grams of cocaine, 13 bags of hallucinogenic mushrooms, multiple prescription pills, quantities of marijuana and methamphetamine, drug packaging, price sheets and $855. Shipp was charged with one count Persons Not to Possess Firearms, seven counts of Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of possession of Drug Paraphernalia and is being held at Lancaster County Prison on $500,000 cash bail; Katherine Hardesty was also detained and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
