Edward A. Johnson Jr. (1962 – 2026)

Edward A. Johnson Jr., 63, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township, surrounded by the comfort of compassionate care. Born in Allentown on July 17, 1962, Ed was the son of Joan (Lackner) Johnson of Emmaus and the late Edward A. Johnson Sr. He spent his career working hard as an industrial laborer. Outside of work, Ed was a man who appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He loved the great outdoors, frequently going camping, and could often be found walking his beloved dogs. An avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and a true lover of classic rock music, his greatest joy by far was spending precious time with his granddaughters. He will be fondly remembered for his trademark farewell, “See ya.”

SURVIVORS

He is survived and dearly missed by: his mother: Joan Johnson of Emmaus; his son: Edward A. Johnson III, and his wife, Sharon; his brother: Jeffrey Johnson of Emmaus; and his two cherished granddaughters who brought immense light to his life. He was predeceased by his sister: Sherry Mellon.
