Election Day — November 3, 2026: Polling Place Safety Guidance

Central Bucks Regional Police outline rules for officer presence, weapon possession, and protests at polling locations for Election Day, Nov. 3, 2026.

Published Oct 26, 2026, 9:54 AM EDT | Lehigh Crimewatch

Central Bucks Regional Police say officers will not be stationed at polling locations on Election Day but are coordinating with the registrar of voters to ensure a safe voting environment and a timely police response if needed. State law generally prohibits being within 100 feet of a polling place except in specific circumstances (when called by an election officer or three voters, when maintaining order, when the officer is voting, or when serving a warrant); weapons are allowed at non-court/non-school polling sites if otherwise lawfully possessed, and peaceful protesters may be present provided they remain at least 10 feet from the entrance.
